Living My Life On Canvas
I am a retired art teacher from public schools, and I am very passionate about painting! I have painted many years now, celebrated both Bachelor of Arts and Master's Degrees in art. I never tire of the excitement in expressing with brush and paint, the things that inspire me. I started my shop with Etsy in 2009. Selling my work through Etsy has opened up so many wonderful opportunities. Some of my work has been licensed and printed on fabrics, Christmas popcorn tins, and Christmas decorations. Other wonderful opportunities are getting to know people all over the world! I have enjoyed visiting with my customers, seeing their beautiful homes where my art resides, and chatting with them about their lives, hobbies and goals.
As an artist I love the properties of oil, the smell of it, and the way it is applied from a brush. I would describe my style as contemporary realism. My subject matter reflects the country lifestyle and mood that my husband and I experience here in Oklahoma. The cows I paint have so many interesting patterns of design on their coats and faces that I never tire of painting them. My still life paintings are mostly vignettes that reflect a farmhouse chic style of décor. I love flowers and gardening. As an artist I desire most to achieve excellence and productivity in the art of life and contribute honor to my Lord, the greatest Artist of all.

Owner, Artist
Painting is much more to me than creating a product. As I begin the process I find myself excited! I anticipate something positive and exhilarating! If any viewer feels what I have experienced in expressing myself, a story has been communicated.
